travel europe italy veneto venice dining trattoria canonica

Lynn and I stopped for lunch at Trattoria Canonica on a very hot day in Venice after touring St. Mark's.
We decided to order a pizza and a large salad and then share both.
The pizza was simple and very good. The "salad" turned out to be something else entirely.
It was listed with other salads as including asparagus, egg, and cheese along with some toast.
It turned out to be fried eggs, sauteed asparagus, and cheese with toast.
Everything was good and well prepared, but, like most things in Venice, highly over-priced.
